We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our Product team. As a Product Designer at Plytix, you will have a central role in shaping the user experience for our customers. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data teams to create intuitive and impactful designs that simplify complex workflows and enhance our customers' interaction with Plytix.

This is a hands-on role where you will dive deep into user research, develop prototypes, and lead usability tests, ensuring that we are continuously iterating and improving the product based on real feedback and data. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with new ideas, collaborate across teams, and shape the user experience for one of our key customer segments.

What is Plytix?

This is where you’d typically see a long paragraph of boring text that no one reads, peppered with corporate buzzwords that don’t mean anything. But, Plytix is no typical company, so we’ll spare you that. Instead, watch this video, and if you like what you see, keep scrolling.

What’s the opportunity?

Join Plytix, a fast-growing SaaS company focused on simplifying product information management for small and medium-sized businesses. In this role, you'll have the freedom to design solutions, innovate and experiment, creating a user experience that truly impacts thousands of e-commerce businesses.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be part of one of our product teams as their Product Designer, responsible for building the UI and UX of the solutions the team develops.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests to uncover pain points and validate design solutions.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that address the needs of our users.
  • Work closely with your team’s Product Manager and Engineers to ensure that design decisions are informed by both user insights and data analysis.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams to create seamless user flows, reducing friction in the customer journey—from onboarding, through activation, and long-term retention.
  • Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback, analytics, and new learnings.
  • Be an advocate for our users within the team, ensuring their needs are prioritized throughout the product development process.
  • Experiment with and test new ideas, refining designs through continuous feedback loops with users and internal stakeholders.

After 1 month:

You’ve familiarized yourself with the design system, user flows, and the specific challenges faced by your team. You’ve met key stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams, and you’ve gathered insights on how users interact with Plytix. You have a clear understanding of the current product goals, user pain points, and are beginning to identify areas for potential design improvements.

After 3 months:

You’re actively working on design projects, delivering early prototypes, and conducting thorough user research. You’ve begun collaborating closely with your Product Manager and engineers to make a grave impact on your team's big bet, with early feedback being gathered but no visible results yet. You’ve also contributed to usability tests and have started iterating on designs based on real user data and insights.

6 months in:

You’ve delivered meaningful design improvements that have started to positively impact your team's big bet. Your design decisions are backed by robust user research, data analysis, and usability testing. Metrics now show increased user engagement and adoption. You are a key contributor to shaping the design strategy moving forward, with a clear impact on user success.

Who will you be working with?

You will be part of the Product team, but you’ll also be working closely with the Development team. Likewise, you’ll work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and sales in order to develop a solid understanding of our potential customers.

What do we look for in the ideal candidate:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer with a strong focus on UI/UX design.
  • Proven experience conducting user research, usability testing, and iterating on designs based on user feedback and data.
  • A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating intuitive, user-friendly products.
  • Strong prototyping skills, with the ability to quickly turn ideas into functional designs that solve user problems.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and B2B products, ideally in an ecommerce or product information management context.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Curiosity and a data-driven mindset, with a willingness to validate designs through experimentation and user testing.
  • Experience designing for SMBs and/or ecommerce platforms is a plus.
  • Experience working with data to validate design decisions.
  • Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem or similar ecommerce platforms is a big plus.

What’s not needed?

  • Arrogance and a tech bro attitude
  • A dog, but it can’t hurt either. Dog people are the best.

About our Culture

If you love reading ‘empowering’ phrases like “vibrant collective” and “innovative individuals,” then be prepared to be disappointed…

That’s because to get a typical result, you have to do only typical things. But that’s not really our style.

We’re a community of chill and fun-loving humans who believe that work doesn’t have to be boring. We make each day exciting by collaborating together and enjoying the occasional bout of silliness: like a pool competition, potluck, party, or game of padel.

We’re kind of the cool kids in the PIM playground (if we do say so ourselves), and we love to challenge the status quo to help anyone break free from f*#king boring spreadsheets.

PLYTIX is a company committed to diversity and equality. Therefore, all our selection processes guarantee equal opportunities for all candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, origin, nationality, age, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. All employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements, merit, and individual qualifications.
